A GREAT IDEA

IMG_7358 These are the recycling bins in Elkhart, IN. They are everywhere. I sure wish other towns would make it as easy to recycle.

  2. I, too, wish it was easier to recycle. Even in my apt. I have a trash dumpster across the way from me, but have to walk clear around to the other end of the complex to the recycling bin. And I have found very few campgrounds have bins for recyclables.

  3. The only trouble is that most towns that provide this service find they are spending large amounts of money for the labor of the driver having to resort what careless or thoughtless individuals put in the plainly marked, Paper only, glass only, plastic only containers, they juts toss their stuff in any handy bin and it then has to be resorted after dumping. The community I worked at finally said enough was enough and did away with recycle containers except for yard waste, and went back to one large trash only bins. Sad reflection on peoples laziness. Be safe out there. Sam & Donna.

  4. Now aren't those just the cutest things! Makes you want to recycle. Our RV Park recycles and I participate in it, but living in a MH makes it difficult (i.e. cluttered) having more than one trash can. Any suggestions? We currently make about two trips a day to the dumpsters.

  5. We haul bags of cans around until we find a place to recycle them. I like this one. I wish more places would do it. A lot of places have gone to the one stream system, where you dump all recyclables in one dumpster and it gets sorted later. That makes it easier for the lazy to do but it pretty much breaks all recycled glass into pieces to small to be recycled so even that is a trade-off. Still, it's better than having it all go to the landfills.
