HELL CREEK

Hell Creek State Park is located along the southern part of Fort Peck Reservoir and is a favorite fishing spot for Montanans. IMG_5811

You really need to be determined in order to get to Hell Creek because it is in the middle of no where. You first have to find Jordan, MT and then head north on a gravel and dirt road for 25 miles. That 25 miles will take over an hour when the road is in good condition. Lots longer if it happens to rain.

The campground is beautiful. Big spaces, not crowded together,IMG_5809 on gravel surrounded by grass. Electric hookups and there is a dump station with potable water. For Montana residents over 65 the cost is $12.50 a night. You can also dry camp.

BUT …The major problem with this campground is the fact there is no cell service, no internet, and no tv reception. I am going to be a miserable camper.
